About Bath LifeWise Building Project
Bath LifeWise Building Project is dedicated to enhancing Bible education and character development among public school students in Bath. Our initiative aims to establish a permanent facility that will serve the community for many years, fostering positive growth and community engagement. Join us in supporting this vital project to nurture future leaders and strengthen the Bath community.
THE NEED
For the last four years, LifeWise Bath has operated without a centralized space designed for educational instruction. We are grateful for our current church partners who have graciously provided space at no cost; however, our current reliance on shared facilities limits our ability to fully meet the needs of our students. A permanent building will address these critical challenges:
Capacity: Growing demand for our program requires more
space to accommodate students and staff effectively
Identity: A dedicated building reinforces the program’s
commitment to the community, strengthening trust and visibility
Belief: Create a non-denominational Bible-based character
learning facility
THE OPPORTUNITY
The construction cost of a permanent LifeWise Bath building is estimated to be about $700,000. The public campaign has launched with $350,000 (50%) already committed by generous community members. The project offers a transformative opportunity in the following ways:
Community Hub: A versatile space for educational programs,
outreach initiatives and community gatherings
Identity: A dedicated building reinforces the program’s
commitment to the community, strengthening trust and visibility
Legacy: This investment ensures LifeWise’s work endures,
providing a foundation for expanded services and partnerships
THE PLAN
We propose a thoughtfully designed facility that balances functionality and community appeal through the following ways:
Location: A donated property has been secured next to The
Bridge Church at 2722 Bluelick Road, less than a two-mile drive
from Bath schools
Design: A modern 3,000 sq. ft. building with flexible spaces,
classrooms, meeting room, and an office area. Built to serve
diverse activities!
Timeline: Groundbreaking in early 2027, with completion targeted
for September 1, 2027, pending funding and permits
Budget: Estimated at $700,000, this will cover Architectural
Design, Building Permits Construction, Furnishings, Driveway,
Parking Lot and Landscaping
THE EVIDENCE
Community Support: Initial conversations with Bath residents and leaders showed enthusiasm for a permanent LifeWise presence after serving students for the past four years at temporary locations
Proven Impact: LifeWise’s existing programs have already touched lives. Serving over 200 students in grades 5-8. A permanent space will increase student enrollment
Regional Precedent: Similar projects have established dedicated LifeWise buildings in surrounding school districts, including Elida, Allen East, Spencerville, and Columbus Grove
